About Channel Frederator

About Channel Frederator

Once upon a time in a far away land called “The 90s,” a guy named Fred had a big idea: A new Cable TV Network that would be the central hub for all things Comedy. It wouldn’t be just another place for funny stuff on a comedy saturated TV dial. It would be the place that young, hot, hip, upstart comedy creators would flock to. The place they would want to be.

That cable comedy mecca now exists. It’s called Comedy Central. (To find out how it got that name and positioning, click here.) And the Comedy Central of today is not that far off from the one Fred envisioned all those years ago.

Now the “See Change” caused by the explosion of video content on the Internet has caused Fred to have a new vision. Fred now sees a place on the Internet that will be THE central hub for hot, hip, upstart animators. A constantly flowing festival of great cartoons—a new film festival every week! A place that will present all animation styles (Claymation, Stop motion, 2D, 3D… 4D if you’ve got it!)

Well, that Internet Cartoon Mecca now exists. It’s called Channel Frederator, and it is The World’s Original Cartoon Podcast. It is programmed not by some knock-kneed network executive who thinks she can dictate what cartoons you want to see. It’s programmed by YOU, by the members of the cartoon-making tribe. You create stuff, we put it on. Simple as that. Channel Frederator isn’t just another place for animation on the web. It is THE place on the web where the cartoon tribe can meet and show the world their work, and talk to each other. (We’re more than happy to post your phone calls and comments online.)

The next “South Park” won’t be passed around on VHS tapes the way the first one was. It will be uploaded onto the Internet, and seen instantaneously by millions. We hope its creators will see fit to unveil their work on Channel Frederator—Cartoon Central for the Internet.

Get to Know the Shows

Nite Fite

Penalty and Lloyd are unscripted, unrehearsed, and completely uninformed. Join them each week as they press hot-button issues and give America a dose of hard talking. Created by animator Dan Meth, whose previous series garnered over 20 million views on the web over the past year and Mark Vitelli. Nite Fite is the first-ever weekly animated talk show for the web.

The Meth Minute 39

Meth Minute 39 - 39 original cartoons twisting pop culture and music from the mind of Dan Meth. One day Dan said to Fred Seibert, ”How cool would it be if I had my own Random Cartoons show? Just 39 short cartoons with no commitment to any particular characters” Fred replied “So do it.” The Meth Minute 39 is the first original series from Channel Frederator.
