There was a pretty harsh writeup about the format change on Cartoon Brew, and I was legitimately upset over it, especially because the bulk of the article was just talking about how you guys are "finally doing this" and not even paying people "enough to buy lunch." Which is ridiculous. And they continuously compare it to their own Cartoon Brew TV, which, even though they're showing independent animations and paying for them, you can't really compare the two as far as where the shorts come from and how often episodes come out. The 50 or even 200 dollars seems like an added bonus to me; I'm not sure what independent animators are relying solely on shows and festivals to make their living, so while $50 is small in their eyes, I honestly don't see anything wrong with it. Anyway, I just wanted to get that off my chest. I'm really looking forward to the new format and maybe even having a chance to participate. I'm with you guys all the way. -Niko
