@The Courtship of Sniffy LaPants: I liked it. Sniffy had some pretty good art there, like a combination of Futurama (not Simpsons) and the classic art from the 50s. How it was done was just inspiring. As for the story and writing... I can't tell if it was greatly disguissed symbolism or just plain crazy/lazy/bad writing. I give it a 3.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: MattWilson: Explodingdog is hardly unique. His whole schtick is that he draws in the manner of a child.
This was a great video. I liked it a lot.
@The Courtship of Sniffy LaPants: "Me doesn't mind...no me doesn't..." I couldn't stop laughing at the dark, plain old WEIRDNESS of this short. It was great! Nice episode CF.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: Awesome. Definitely worth a 5. The animation was minimal, but it did the job. It made me laugh and gasp and have a visceral reaction, all combined with a great tune. Good find Frederator!
@The Courtship of Sniffy LaPants: It started brilliantly. But then the dialogue kicked in a ruined it. I LOVED the animation and the feel but the speech and the stupid robot totally mucked it up.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: I've been listening to this tune for months. First time I've seen the vid. Great tune and great animation with some genuinely funny moments.
@Sing-a-long with Roosevelt: The CG was truly impressive. Some of the best I have ever seen. It was also profoundly bizarre and pointless. Still a solid four in my book.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: You know, I would like to complain about a short that was mostly live action, but I enjoyed it a good deal, so I won't. I liked the music, the band, and the animated bits.
@Sing-a-long with Roosevelt: Yup, write away I started just shaking my head and giggling. Well not little school girl giggles... but... anyways. This was a good one. Deserves better then 3.5. Which is what I see it currenty at.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: I thought it has interesting, I definately liked the combination of real vs imaginary and the end how the stickman looks/walks by all the violence things you see, like a Tarentino thing
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: I just couldn't watch it. All the power to Frederator for showing videos, I'm sure it helps pay the bills... I can still scrub by it.
@First Kiss: So... did they lose their tongues? It was nice, but I'm confused. Also... I thought they're were times when she looked like a little old lady, atleast her body. So I just for some reason found myself confused. But it wasn't bad. I liked the delay effect, captured the essence nicely.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: i thought this was well done. The mixing of live action with amusing little guys was good. O man. That big headed one turning down the big headed girl. sad but funny.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: If you're not familiar with Waverly Films body of work, I highly suggest you go to their site and check out Warewolf Solution.
@The Courtship of Sniffy LaPants: That's pretty damn good for Flash+AfterEffects from 2000. The universe of the cartoon seems almost too fleshed out for a one-shot, I'm surprised there aren't more stories with these characters.
@Sing-a-long with Roosevelt: Excellent Toon. Great character meshes, textures, animation, and effects. I was particularly impressed with the blur effect on the horizon where the the sea meets the sky. Not every 3D program can do that effect.
@The Courtship of Sniffy LaPants: BIZARRE! I loved it. I was surprised by Sniffy assuming a passive sex position with the the robot. I would have bet on him preferring sex in the doggy position. (5++)
@The Courtship of Sniffy LaPants: What it lacked in brevity, it made up for in being freaking OUT there. Sniffy is such a wonderfully complex character. What the hell is up with this cartoon? The slow pacing turned it into almost a suspense thriller, just based on the fact that there was no way to predict what would happen next. 5. Frederator, this was a tight episode. Well scavenged.
@Sing-a-long with Roosevelt: Yes. That so rocked.
Finally someone uses 3D computer animation to do something truly absurd. This ranks higly on my ALL-FRED list. 5.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: As soon as I saw the stick man walk up to the loafer, I thought, "Oh great. This again." But the animation, while simple/expert, had a lot of thought behind it. The music was listenable/pleasant, and the live action had a nice look. The animation alone did a good job of keeping me interested in an otherwise typical white backdrop performance video. And the sound quality was good, unlike the Jamiroquai video. It gets a 4 from me.
@Cold Hands, Warm Heart: I know people have been getting down on CF lately about airing content that mixes live action w/ animation (Kanye West video),and most recently, animated music videos in general(Jamiroquai) This video was GREAT. Loved those little animated guys, and the throughline was excellent, not to mention I loved the song. Good to see some lesser known artists represented, and GREAT to see different formats used to showcase animation.
@First Kiss: Awww man! That happened to me once...good thing they didn't have braces. Great film! Loved the animation style--simple, and with an unexpected twist at the end.
