    @The Adventures of Trex: Hahah! For anyone outside NYC, that was Mayor Bloomberg.

  • mkyboy_71 wrote on December 6, 10:39 am

    @FAVE: Did you guys screen this before you put it on your site?

  • CalicoMnky wrote on December 6, 11:38 am

    @Prey: Very nice, reminds me a bit of Bill Plympton. I heartily endorse this product and/or service.

  • CalicoMnky wrote on December 6, 11:41 am

    @FAVE: It just ... keeps going. I don't recall doing something naughty, but clearly I'm being punished.

  • CalicoMnky wrote on December 6, 11:46 am

    @Zmbies?: Some of the design was pleasant, but the pacing felt off. Also, the microphone that came with your computer is not good enough to record with. That crackling when they yell "ZOMBIES!", that's a bad thing.

  • CalicoMnky wrote on December 6, 11:48 am

    @The Adventures of Trex: Mildly amusing, like a cat in a hamster ball.

  • david wrote on December 6, 12:31 pm

    @FAVE: Fine, but too long.

  • emoose wrote on December 6, 3:29 pm

    @Prey: Definitely best of the week. It actually has a story! Other people should try that.

  • dotzon wrote on December 6, 3:41 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: I've got new ones today boys

  • sinemsaka wrote on December 6, 3:46 pm

    @Prey: I second that - best of this episode!

  • sinemsaka wrote on December 6, 3:48 pm

    @FAVE: first time I fast forwarded a cartoon on frederator...and i even like artsy fartsy.

  • McCullough wrote on December 6, 3:55 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: Not really bad. Maybe too ubergeek for me.

  • McCullough wrote on December 6, 3:59 pm

    @Zmbies?: Student project. Its okay. Should dump the voice recording.

  • McCullough wrote on December 6, 4:02 pm

    @Chevy 1963: Hmmm. Aside from it being a chevy commercial. It was actually pretty cool. Its kind of neat to see how animation was kind of headed in so many directions at one point, but then it kind of followed one path.
    But now things seem to be branching out again.

  • McCullough wrote on December 6, 4:06 pm

    @Prey: I watch them in sucession and comment after each one. This one was alright. I wouldn't go so far as to say it had a great story.

  • McCullough wrote on December 6, 4:13 pm

    @FAVE: Well. I'm guessing that was CG and I am very impressed that it looks to be hand made miniatures and filmed with a camcorder. A little long, maybe I need some more smack.

  • MacArthur wrote on December 6, 7:23 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: i thought this was the best in the episode. it wasn't animated as well as the others but it was a lot more interesting than the last cartoon

  • MacArthur wrote on December 6, 7:24 pm

    @FAVE: i thought this was the worse cartoon in the episode

  • MacArthur wrote on December 6, 7:25 pm

    @Prey: i dont think it had a great story but it was the second best in the episode in my opinion

  • scootia wrote on December 6, 8:31 pm

    @FAVE: What was the point, again? The David Lynch nightmare on acid camera work was cool for about 2 minutes, but you lost me on why this thing exists.

  • scootia wrote on December 6, 8:38 pm

    @Zmbies?: Character design, acting and animation was great! Not bad for a student production. Soars above "Fave".

  • scootia wrote on December 6, 8:46 pm

    @Chevy 1963: With all the CG wow factor fussyness out there, it's refreshing to see something so simple, clean and well designed. Sweet.

  • sk8punk707 wrote on December 6, 9:14 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: not bad, could be worse... animation was a little weak tho...

  • sk8punk707 wrote on December 6, 9:14 pm

    @Zmbies?: animation LOOKED great, but just didnt flow right...

  • sk8punk707 wrote on December 6, 9:15 pm

    @Chevy 1963: Ha ha ha, that's actually pretty cool. I love these old commercials. Like the Snap Crackle Pop one, it's just entertaining.

  • sk8punk707 wrote on December 6, 9:17 pm

    @FAVE: Actually, I really liked this animation. I liked the weird look of everything like the clouds moving through the sky, and the camera movement but like everyone else said, it was really just too weird. It was like a bad dream.

  • sk8punk707 wrote on December 6, 9:18 pm

    @Prey: very simple, looked great. this can be a killer combination.

  • darkstar wrote on December 6, 9:30 pm

    @FAVE: ummmm yeah, I didn't get it. Tought that it was pointless and way to long to have that old movie audio to keep repeating

  • darkstar wrote on December 6, 9:33 pm

    @Prey: I felt that it was missing something but I cannot put my finger on it.

  • darkstar wrote on December 6, 9:34 pm

    @Chevy 1963: I liked the old commercial and how when they would talk they would have the nice old caligraphy stuff.

  • darkstar wrote on December 6, 9:34 pm

    @Zmbies?: I agree with sk8punk707 animation just awsome but that was all

  • darkstar wrote on December 6, 9:35 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: Best one of the episode but I think that episode 5 &6 are the best so far

  • CaptQuick wrote on December 6, 9:56 pm

    @Zmbies?: Really liked this one. Animation was good. Character design reminded me a bit of Monkey Island 4 (a good thing.). Liked the story (what there was of it).

  • CaptQuick wrote on December 6, 10:02 pm

    @Prey: Absolutely hilarious. Very attractive animation. Definitely my favorite of the week.

  • CaptQuick wrote on December 6, 10:05 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: The thing just wasn't that funny to me. Struck me more as a poor man's Dork Tower or Melonpool.
    I'd probably still forgive it if the design were interesting (I gave points to Fave this week for that), but it justs seems derivative to me.

  • djp72 wrote on December 6, 10:38 pm

  • djp72 wrote on December 6, 10:39 pm

    @Prey: fun

    more more more of this type.

  • djp72 wrote on December 6, 10:39 pm

    @Zmbies?: YAWN!!

  • djp72 wrote on December 6, 10:40 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: boring!!

  • snackatoms wrote on December 6, 11:23 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: Really awful. Better to keep it in panel format on the millions of web comic sites from which it spawns.

  • snackatoms wrote on December 6, 11:24 pm

    @Prey: Best of the week.

  • pwaak wrote on December 7, 12:45 am

    @FAVE: too dumb to count as surreal

  • pwaak wrote on December 7, 12:48 am

    @Prey: Fantastic! The line art and the story are both great!

  • pwaak wrote on December 7, 12:55 am

    @Chevy 1963: I haven't seen the words blended into the animation so artfully in a long time. That's a shame.

  • tuomime wrote on December 7, 12:55 am

    @The Adventures of Trex: ehh.. it didn't do much for me.

  • tuomime wrote on December 7, 12:58 am

    @Chevy 1963: I agree with pwaak. The way they incorporated the words into the animation was really interesting. It had a nice feel to it even though it's an ad.

  • tuomime wrote on December 7, 1:00 am

    @Prey: I loved this one. Thought it was the best of this week's episode. It was really well done in a minimalistic style through the animation and the story itself. Very creative!

  • tuomime wrote on December 7, 1:01 am

    @FAVE: um.. creepy.

  • bradyj wrote on December 7, 1:05 am

    @Zmbies?: Good for a student project, but please, don't sell the social perspective that heavy. You spent more time spelling it out then letting the viewer come to their own decision... more focus on theme and structure, please.

  • bradyj wrote on December 7, 1:06 am

    @The Adventures of Trex: Ending was too quick and abrupt -- no political cameo could save it.

  • bradyj wrote on December 7, 1:07 am

    @Chevy 1963: Great typography from an old design, love it.

  • bradyj wrote on December 7, 1:07 am

    @Prey: Best of the week, good drawing, a bit slow -- but maybe it was the earlier ones that drowned me.

  • bradyj wrote on December 7, 1:08 am

    @FAVE: The look was interesting, but that's all I took from it. Art without depth to me.

  • bungholio wrote on December 7, 1:40 am

    @FAVE: Artsy and fun, but it just wasn't the Hitler we all know with an evil song and evil dance in his heart....... (I'm still waiting to see the cartoon you guys have with that one.)

  • bungholio wrote on December 7, 1:51 am

    @The Adventures of Trex: Any kinky chick that looks that good is usually a female vice officer or converted trans-sexual, or a combination of the two. You're always safer with the ugly ones guys. If you beat an ugly bitch no one gives a damn! The characters deserve a second date.

  • geekoid wrote on December 7, 9:00 am

    @FAVE: Just weird. Cool graphics though... very stop-framey.

  • ESPMagus wrote on December 7, 11:17 am

    @FAVE: I thought that it was great for its weirdness. I liked the "dirty-film" effects, though I thought they could have been backed down a bit. It was a bit TOO blurry and scratchy.
    However, this one still got a five from me, just for being so off-the-wall. It looks like I'm the only one to have given it that high a rating...

  • ESPMagus wrote on December 7, 11:18 am

    @Zmbies?: Cool animation. I really liked the way they animated the people and the zombies, how different they were.
    The concept was a bit tired, though.

  • ESPMagus wrote on December 7, 11:20 am

    @The Adventures of Trex: This earned low marks for not fulfilling its promise of being entertaining. I felt like the whole thing was done to set up a cheap, not-so-funny-in-the-first-place political joke.
    I this is a series, though, I'd be willing to give them a second chance.

  • ESPMagus wrote on December 7, 11:25 am

    @Chevy 1963: Blegh. I'm not sure why we're watching old commercials. Sure, it's neat to see some of animation's roots, but I'm more interested in new and original content. At least give us some parody voice overs! (Though, please PLEASE make it better than the Rice Krispies thing you showed us a couple weeks back...)

  • ESPMagus wrote on December 7, 11:27 am

    @Prey: I loved this one! The expressions on the characters' faces were great. *munch* Hahahahaha!!!
    I rewound and replayed the part when the first beast leaps at the little guy a number of times in slow motion just to see their faces change. The monster's grimace changing into the baby with the pacifier was priceless!
    It's the little things that make a good piece of work.

  • ravamil wrote on December 7, 1:07 pm

    @FAVE: Hitler...Tounges...Im lost...

  • xopher wrote on December 7, 2:52 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: yuck.

  • xopher wrote on December 7, 2:55 pm

    @Zmbies?: This could have been 1/4th as long and been more effective. I felt like I was being hit over the head with the sermon. But I agree with the sermon, and that helps to bring it up to a 3.
    Needs new sound design, definately.

  • xopher wrote on December 7, 2:57 pm

    @Chevy 1963:
    This is definately the best designed piece in episode 7. Sad that it has to come from a 40 year old commercial. [I enjoyed this one, at least.]

  • xopher wrote on December 7, 2:57 pm

    @Prey: Very well made, but long. Great job on the faces.

  • xopher wrote on December 7, 3:00 pm

    @FAVE: The animation was f-ing spectacular. Unfortunately, a 17 year old dipshit got ahold of it, and put the dialog in it. I'm glad that it ended with Hitler. That saved it. I don't know why, though. 4.

  • cckruger wrote on December 7, 8:25 pm

    @Prey: Morbid and wonderful. Harkens to my some of my favorite moments in the minds of Tim Burton or Jhonen Vasquez.

  • cckruger wrote on December 7, 8:28 pm

    @FAVE: Wierd, camcorder shot look and freaky feel was great. With a plot and some decent dialouge, this format could be killer though.

    I also think people rate too high. 2 from me.

  • mcornett wrote on December 7, 8:52 pm

    @FAVE: Great...creepy, but really great.

  • bsimpson wrote on December 7, 9:17 pm

    @FAVE: I'm beginning to realize - all I need to headline a Frederator ep is a weird sex toon.

  • clockwerkz wrote on December 7, 10:00 pm

    @FAVE: Pretty friggin' creepy. Prolly would have worked better leaving him dead in that pool of blood. The Hitler part was just weird. Liked the claustophobic effect throughout the piece.

  • saketini99 wrote on December 7, 10:20 pm

    @Chevy 1963: Great typography design! It's cool to see these old ads.

  • saketini99 wrote on December 7, 10:24 pm

    @FAVE: Loved it. The distressed film look and the CG looking handmade were greta. And I loved the contrast between the archival look of the thing and the goofy dialog. Gets a 5 from me. The Hitler ending was a bit weak though, kind of an easy out. But more like this please!

  • saketini99 wrote on December 7, 10:26 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: s'allright... but would have expected better from Ward Sutton. I like his comix though. Pretty much a 3.

  • saketini99 wrote on December 7, 10:29 pm

    @Zmbies?: OK for a student project. Some good art direction and animation, but the simple minded social commentary knocked it down a few ranks for me.

  • Tea4Two wrote on December 7, 10:43 pm

    @FAVE: Ummmm....no.

  • Tea4Two wrote on December 7, 10:44 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: Can you say "unfunny non-sequiter?" Apparently, you can.

  • Tea4Two wrote on December 7, 10:49 pm

    @Zmbies?: Okay, we get it, we get it - we're all zombies. Wow. Deep. I never thought of that. On the bright side, it's nice to see young talent - seeds of good stuff to come, methinks.

  • Tea4Two wrote on December 7, 10:53 pm

    @Chevy 1963: A fine example of how less is often more. Evidently, the general public used to have an appetite for wit and whimsy. Now please excuse me while I finish watching America's Next Top Model.

  • Tea4Two wrote on December 7, 10:54 pm

    @Prey: Perfection. More, please.

  • Timur wrote on December 7, 10:55 pm

    @FAVE: ummmmmm....yes! Loved this film.

  • appleofuri wrote on December 8, 12:33 am

    @FAVE: Ok did I miss the point..was there one? If it wasn't for the bad dialog I would have been even more lost. the effects were cool..but I just don't get it, its like artsy gone WAY wrong.

  • appleofuri wrote on December 8, 12:35 am

    @Prey: Kinda one of thoese your sure you know what's going to happen (anyone seen the chubb chubb's) but still enjoyed it was the best of the bunch.

  • serpico wrote on December 8, 2:34 am

    @FAVE: really wanted to like it, but wtf is with the terrible idiotic dialogue? the soundtrack didn't do its job and was weak at best. the whole thing was trying way too hard to be something which it was not smart enough to imitate. maybe take the dialogue cards out completely so at least it can pretend to be artsy.

  • gheipranav wrote on December 8, 3:01 am

    @Prey: We need some more episodes of the smiley face talking about the email and "shunning" his little penis in Episode 6. I think it is by far one of the funniest things ive ever seen!! awesome voice too.

  • The_Oddone wrote on December 8, 7:35 am

    @FAVE: meh, didn't really care for it....

  • The_Oddone wrote on December 8, 7:37 am

    @Prey: Hands down the best one in the episode.

  • The_Oddone wrote on December 8, 7:38 am

    @Zmbies?: Ran a bit slow for my taste and the audio was awful.

  • The_Oddone wrote on December 8, 7:39 am

    @Chevy 1963: I dig it

  • bsimpson wrote on December 9, 1:19 am

    @Prey: Predictable but nice. Well done animation as well.

  • bungholio wrote on December 9, 3:20 am

    @Chevy 1963: If possible, please play the 1960's animated ads for Raid bug spray by Chuck Jones, and Fred Avery's Frito Bandito spots. They're both lost works of the great masters. I've seen some of them on-line, but the video quality wasn't too good.

  • cfrocks wrote on December 9, 3:51 am

    @Prey: Dude. that was like, crazy. I loved it. Just when you think the little guy's gonna get like crunched. Nope. Right on. btw, wth?

  • tuomime wrote on December 9, 2:26 pm

    @Prey: I didn't even notice the face morphing into a baby with a pacifier until ESPMagus said something. Little things like that add even more to good toons.

  • d4ng3r wrote on December 9, 7:08 pm

  • xopher wrote on December 11, 1:10 am

    @FAVE: all looks, no content

  • tomdestroy wrote on December 12, 12:42 pm

    @FAVE: i thought it was interesting, had a great style, but was a bit long... i'd like to see more experimental stuff on frederator for variety.

  • tomdestroy wrote on December 12, 12:43 pm

    @Chevy 1963: loved this one! who directed it? kinda reminded me of some fred crippen stuff, but i'm not sure.

  • allans wrote on December 12, 2:30 pm

    @FAVE: i like the old timey look...not the old timey crackling audio though. sound & music is so important on a piece like this... it needed more punch, also it should of been about 2 minutes long, i lost interest and stared at the paint chiping on my wall.

  • allans wrote on December 12, 2:33 pm

    @Prey: Better than Plympton's stuff... i never liked his stuff.

  • allans wrote on December 12, 2:34 pm

    @Chevy 1963: keep the old commercials coming

  • allans wrote on December 12, 2:38 pm

    @Zmbies?: i liked it despite it having a deep meaning.. the voice work sucked but what do you expect for student work without access to good acting talent? animation was a little floaty and i'm starting to really hate character design with the asymetrical eyes. otherwise design was nice.

  • allans wrote on December 12, 2:41 pm

    @The Adventures of Trex: uhhh... why animation? you can shoot this live action in about a day.

  • antimax wrote on December 12, 3:07 pm

    @Zmbies?: Yeah, the message was a bit too obvious, but this was pretty funny. Some great animation on the zombies too! Good timing at times too. Hey everyone, don't judge it as a STUDENT film, judge it as a FILM...

  • antimax wrote on December 12, 3:10 pm

    @Chevy 1963: SUCH funny voiceover! (unintentional, I'm sure.) At first I was thinking 'wow, great design on this one'. Then I realized it was from the 60's... of course. Good stuff.

  • antimax wrote on December 12, 3:15 pm

    @Prey: Yeah, funn stuff. Great soundtrack, and a really nice sense of space and depth in some shots, even though it was just a white world. Good sound, again...

  • antimax wrote on December 12, 3:19 pm

    @FAVE: Loved how it looked, very original feel. Pretttty weird, but hey, we need more weird. I think it may have not needed the titlecards, except the one at the end maybe... but then it would have been REALLY weird, ha. Also thought it was too long. But I liked it, yeah! More!

  • Bisquick wrote on December 13, 7:25 pm

    @FAVE: Wow. That was...yeah. Wow. I don't think you were supposed to smoke the whole bag.

  • LoMo wrote on December 14, 3:42 am

    @Zmbies?: great design, nice timing, clear story. great job!

  • LoMo wrote on December 14, 3:44 am

    @Prey: Very nicely animated! Nice little twist, but the selling point is definately the animation

  • LoMo wrote on December 14, 3:45 am

    @FAVE: I have to say, I just didn't like it. The design was to muddled and hard to read and the story did nothing to make up for it.

  • LoMo wrote on December 14, 3:45 am

    @The Adventures of Trex: :-(

  • tyler wrote on December 17, 1:32 am

    @FAVE: I liked this one a lot, but felt it could be just a bit tighter.
    It seemedlike a cross between the Quay Brothers and a Guy Madden film. Weird and interesting.

  • tyler wrote on December 17, 1:33 am

  • Wolfsong wrote on January 6, 9:03 pm

    I've not see anything by the Brothers Quay, but I hope to someday. However, I am a great fan of Jan Svankmajer's work.

    @Chevy 1963: Wow. It's a shame car commercials these days are...crappy. It should be simple like this one. Worse part is this commercial is 42 years old.

    @FAVE: This cartoon was trying to be way too many things at once. The old film and bad camera effects were way overdone. The modeling and textures were sub-par and the dialogue seemed like it was written by a 13 year old. If you took out the dialogue and eased up on the old film scratches and blips then it would be artsy but the poor dialogue just kills the feeling.

    Also, the microphone that came with your computer is not good enough to record with. That crackling when they yell "ZOMBIES!", that's a bad thing.

    I think this was the best cartoon in this episode.

    @The Adventures of Trex: Mildly amusing, like a cat in a hamster ball.

    Wierd, camcorder shot look and freaky feel was great. With a plot and some decent dialouge, this format could be killer though.
