@Missionary: No matter the intentions that's basically what missionaries do, if you think about it... Loved the animation and the character design

@Missionary: It's very reminiscent of the invasion, pillaging of natural resources, but most of all the obliteration of local deities by the priests who accompanied the "conquistadores" in the time of the colony in the Americas.

They had their own Gods, their symbols where destroyed and replaced by the Cross (which Mike makes a definite reference to with his pseudo-cross symbol brought in by the Missionary).

They also had their own ways of worshiping their Gods, and thus when they get forced into a new creed, they try to worship like they always did, but of course, that is not what the Roman Church wants, and so SLAP!!

Every time new ships arrived, the invaders grew stronger and any type of revolts where quickly taken care of. As always the Church was protected by the Crown, being both entities Political and Profit oriented, for the Indies or Americas where considered virgin territory for the taken, along with all it's resources,including it's people.

In the end this simple, yet masterfully animated short and amazingly clear for those who know a little history (not just "American", meaning of course people from the U.S.) takes a very funny twist where fate is determined by a awkward looking bird who decides to take things into his own beak and thus ends the invasion (wouldn't the Incas or Aztecs and other lesser know cultures have loved to have him on his side at the time!).

I just love the expressions on the characters, very very well done, great timing.
