    @Rockfish: awesome animation and the story was great also.

  • appleofuri wrote on March 8, 10:00 am

    @Rockfish: Really enjoyed this..but well I have been a Blur fan since the first eppy. I could see this as a type of series just by how it looks, though the story doesn't really support that.. Still Great

  • appleofuri wrote on March 8, 10:15 am

    @Handshake: I don't know what I was expecting..but that sure as heck wasn't it..this was FREAKING GREAT!!! YEAH FREDERATOR one eppy from being leagel ;-)

  • rabbit318 wrote on March 8, 10:26 am

    @Handshake: appleofuri, channel frederator's been legal in kentucky for four episodes now; you should've been there

  • xopher wrote on March 8, 11:17 am

    @Handshake: If Frederator had been in Germany this whole time, it would have grown up in an environment that doesn't stigmatize such things. And it would have kick-ass liederhosen.

  • xopher wrote on March 8, 11:19 am

    @Handshake: Handshake is top-notch. I don't even know what to say. 5.

  • xopher wrote on March 8, 11:20 am

    @Rockfish: This made my Cheerios soggy. I'm astounded. 5.

  • ArtCurry wrote on March 8, 12:02 pm

    @Handshake: I had the pleasure of meeting Patrick at a tale discussion in Ottawa a couple years back. He seems like a great guy. He was very approachable and his love and enthusiasm for animation is apparent.
    Great short from a very talented artist.

  • ArtCurry wrote on March 8, 12:04 pm

    @Rockfish: THe rumor mill has this short being ported over into a feature via Vin Diesel's production company.
    Blur does great work. No doot a boot it. ;)

  • illmitch wrote on March 8, 12:50 pm

    @Handshake: wow.. really weird and freaky. like a bad acid trip.. but my eyes were glued the whole time. 5

  • tuomime wrote on March 8, 2:44 pm

    @Handshake: wow, this guy does amazing animation. I liked Drink better though.

  • tuomime wrote on March 8, 2:44 pm

    @Rockfish: yea, this was pretty great. It does make one wonder the context of the story, however.

  • toongirl wrote on March 8, 3:13 pm

    @Handshake: ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod. LOVED THIS ONE.

  • toongirl wrote on March 8, 3:14 pm

    @Rockfish: Felt like I was coming in on the middle of a movie. And a good movie at that. I hope this gets turned into something more. Beautiful animation.

  • AJD08 wrote on March 8, 5:39 pm

    @Handshake: Another lovely animation from Patrick Smith. Simple Amazing!

  • AJD08 wrote on March 8, 5:40 pm

    @Rockfish: A very interesting concept with some awesome graphics and animation. Simply Stunning.

  • El_Sajo wrote on March 8, 6:32 pm

    @Rockfish: COOOOOOOOOLLLL. Only word I can think of.

  • darkstar wrote on March 8, 10:18 pm

    @Handshake: bizarre and wierd but good

  • darkstar wrote on March 8, 10:20 pm

    @Rockfish: The animation BLEW ME AWAY. Good story and one hell of a fish, thing, creature, worm doo-hicky. The perfect podcast episode for me would have rochfish (or something like it) and an awsome funny clip.

  • eksortso wrote on March 9, 7:55 am

    @Handshake: I was totally blown away by this one. Yeah, that's exactly what it feels like, when that whatchacallit happens. And the ending... perfect, perfect! FIVE!

  • unoefe wrote on March 9, 6:53 pm

    @Handshake: This guys stuff is cool. I love the art, animation, and weird, weird story. Keep the Patrick Smith stuff coming.

  • unoefe wrote on March 9, 6:54 pm

    @Rockfish: AWESOME! Them guys/gals at Blur is neat. Best of show with a solid 5.

  • Holistica wrote on March 9, 8:26 pm

    @Handshake: Wow. That was something that I can't put into words. Just...wow. 5

  • Holistica wrote on March 9, 8:29 pm

    @Rockfish: No wonder this was short listed for an Academy Award. That was GREAT animation. I should have watche in full screen first though. it loses something in translation on my iPod video.
    Definitely worthy of a 5.

  • japester wrote on March 10, 3:19 am

    @Rockfish: Thought it was a miner for a while. Good visual explanation at the end. I didn't think so much could be said in so little a time. Certainly major-movie class. A full-length based on this has a lot of potential.

  • japester wrote on March 10, 3:21 am

    @Handshake: Found it creepy.

  • chuymatt wrote on March 10, 11:27 am

    @Handshake: sadly, I am growing tired of his same old trick. Check out his website; they are all variations on the drink tower thing.

    I guess i am jaded, but I like to see a bit more diversification.

    That said, it still got a 4 from me, as it is still high quality.

  • Blue wrote on March 11, 9:36 pm

    @Rockfish: this was amazing. i got so lost in it.

  • Blue wrote on March 11, 9:36 pm

    @Handshake: i know women like that

    man eaters!

  • Cwruidth wrote on March 13, 6:28 am

    @Rockfish: Holy. Crap.
    This is easily the best animation i've ever seen, Frederated or otherwise.
    i... i peed a little while i watched it. This film rendered me a puppy.

  • Cwruidth wrote on March 13, 6:30 am

    @Handshake: While i have to say i wasn't terribly impressed with the relationship allegory that it presented, i was very impressed and refreshed by the attention to detail regarding the limits of the human body. Even in the midst of something as surreal as this, both characters moved very realistically and naturally. Truly, top notch technique; what this guy really needs is a truly inspiring plot.

  • Razmataz wrote on March 13, 5:04 pm

    @Rockfish: Very funny...i Like

  • namtastic wrote on March 13, 10:34 pm

    @Handshake: I'd like to see just one of this man's films that DIDN'T have someone smooshing in or out of someone else.

    No disrespect to the man's skills, but dude, we get it already. Try something new.

  • namtastic wrote on March 13, 10:37 pm

    @Rockfish: Beautiful work, although the choice of having the lead completely silent did come off as awkward for me. Still, that's a fairly minor complaint considering the successes this piece makes.

  • CaptQuick wrote on March 13, 10:53 pm

    @Handshake: Excellent toon, this was an amazing episode of Fred. The only one I've given a perfect score to.

  • CaptQuick wrote on March 13, 10:54 pm

    @Rockfish: Absolutely beautiful. Possibly my favorite frederator short thus far.

  • djp72 wrote on March 14, 5:29 am

    @Handshake: this is why God made frederator

  • djp72 wrote on March 14, 5:37 am

    @Rockfish: the best frederator episode thus far.
    too good.

  • zildjian wrote on March 14, 1:49 pm

    @Rockfish: i love this episode. i might even marry it because i like to yankoff

  • weeny wrote on March 14, 1:50 pm

    @Rockfish: i love this episode. i might even marry it because i like to yankoff

  • weeny wrote on March 14, 1:53 pm

    @Rockfish: that kid zildjian is such a butthead for putting coolness stuff magee on our own personal website. oh yeah, hoo else likes to look at men's sexual organs on the introweb. :) What does this look like.... (.l.) Duh. its a weener stickin in a koonchie

  • weeny wrote on March 14, 1:55 pm

    @Rockfish: ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • weeny wrote on March 14, 1:55 pm

    @Rockfish: Hello Japester

  • Clyde wrote on March 18, 6:27 pm

    @Handshake: interesting...

  • Clyde wrote on March 18, 6:29 pm

    @Rockfish: wow! that was awesome

  • Wolfsong wrote on March 22, 6:22 pm

    @Handshake: Another Plympton-eque short on Frederator. I know, animators, Plypton is great, but there can be only one.

  • Rtype wrote on March 22, 10:23 pm

    @Rockfish: Nice models. It played like a special effects demo though. The monkey-dog animal thing was flat out stupid though. Retarded Jar-Jaresque slapstick. And out of place with the rest of the short... This was featured on Mike Judge's theatrical run of "the Animation Show." I find it to be a bit trite.

  • Rtype wrote on March 22, 10:25 pm

    @Handshake: As the above comment states, it looked like it was unique, but it didn't feel like it was unique. Probably because it was all Plymptonic.

  • freddy wrote on April 1, 2:19 am

    @Rockfish: cool machines

  • antimax wrote on April 1, 8:34 am

    @Rockfish: I don't know why everyone likes this so much! I saw it in the Animation Show volume 2 and it bored me to oblivion! At first I enjoyed it, but it went no where! I mean, what story is everyone talking about? I seemed to miss it. It LOOKS great, but so what? I don't really care. They did a good job visually... But there's not much else there.

  • antimax wrote on April 1, 8:35 am

    @Rockfish: Oh yeah, "death to CG" just wanted to throw that in there too.

  • antimax wrote on April 1, 8:38 am

    @Handshake: The best episode yet?!? NO! Not enough animation, yo....

  • twook2000 wrote on April 5, 5:06 pm

    @Rockfish: BLUR!!!!!!!!!! keep makin great great stuff.

  • B0mBjAcK wrote on April 16, 12:16 am

    @Rockfish: Werd! This animation is dope! Seen it before but it's just as good the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. time around.

  • Zac wrote on April 18, 12:37 pm

    @Rockfish: Absolutely excellent. Antimax, you are a confused thing.

  • Moo wrote on July 10, 11:17 am

    @Rockfish: I actually agree with antimax. While this looks amazing, and is an interesting concept, I think it could have been done better. It's all flash and no substance. What characters there were could be disribed as cut-outs at best (tough Van Disle look alike fisherman and his amusing/annoying whats-it pet for comic releif) and the plot doesn't have much too it.
    I still say if all you care about is action, this is a good one, but I think there are lots of cooler and better thought out animations shown on Frederator than this.

  • Popezilla wrote on July 20, 10:54 am

    @Rockfish: Whatev, moo. We all love Rockfish. It's cool for passing time at the army hospital in DC waiting for an X-ray. I liked it.

  • Popezilla wrote on July 20, 10:54 am

    @Handshake: This was pretty cool. Though I admit I liked Drink better.

  • NullDonkey wrote on August 27, 4:38 pm

    @Rockfish: yes this was amazing but it's from Blur Studios, of course it's going to be amazing.

  • lakesean wrote on September 18, 12:39 pm

    @Rockfish: This looks like something the could easily be turned in the a real show or feature length movie. Tell blur to give Sci-fi Channel a call they need something good to replace ECW.
