@Lonely Robot Duckling: Hands down, the WORST one i've seen yet. Shame on Frederator for not only accepting this garbage made by an infant, why have it be the lead cartoon. I love Frederator and watch it every week, but crap like this makes it difficult.

  • justinj wrote on February 15, 3:28 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: It's got an interesting style to it, but it drags on a bit.

  • appleofuri wrote on February 15, 3:51 pm

  • appleofuri wrote on February 15, 3:52 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: I wasn't sure if it was suppose to be funny or serious or what, but I still liked it WAY MORE than that robot 'ish.

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: I'd tell you how much I liked it but, Getting Fumigated!

  • darkstar wrote on February 15, 5:24 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: So, so, so, so, so, so, horrible. The WORST one I have seen since episode 3.

  • darkstar wrote on February 15, 5:31 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: Anything is better than the robot, but I still didn't like this one either. The bunny rocked though.

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: This best of this episode which isn't saying alot for this episode

  • AJD08 wrote on February 15, 5:38 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: Wow. I mean, it's great that the person can animate in Flash, but the story was just stupid beyond all belief.

  • AJD08 wrote on February 15, 5:39 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: I liked how the bunny was just mocked and ridiculed. Nothing amazing though.

  • AJD08 wrote on February 15, 5:40 pm

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Best of the episode. I love Canadia.

  • Holistica wrote on February 15, 5:51 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: I gotta agree with the others. This was SERIOUSLY sub par for you guys. Usually you have some really great stuff whether it's just plain hilarious, offbeat or serious. But you promised you wouldn't play "Poop Baseball" and yet you gave us a a whizzing roboduck. C'mon guys! Get it together over there!

  • Holistica wrote on February 15, 5:56 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: The bunny was cute, but that mean man made him cry :-(

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

    I'm such a heartless b*^ch.

  • Holistica wrote on February 15, 5:59 pm

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: This was a massive improvement over that duck-whiz-thingie. The "getting fumigated part got a smile out of me. But all in all I'd have to say that this episode was WAY beneath what Frederator has done before.
Whoever approved this episode needs to be on unemployment.

  • mb555 wrote on February 15, 6:49 pm

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: fun - when does the movie come out?

  • cckruger wrote on February 15, 7:12 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: Also in agreement that this was incredibly stupid. I hope the Frederator crew takes the time to read these comments... this sort of animation is not what we want to see. It's a far cry from "Email!" and "War Photographer", and it doesn't belong on Frederator.

  • cckruger wrote on February 15, 7:13 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: Hmm... number two on the Frederator suck list for this week. Better then the duck though.

  • bobby wrote on February 15, 7:15 pm

  • cckruger wrote on February 15, 7:15 pm

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Being a Minnesotan, I feel a deep connection with these guys. Couldn't help picturing them as the moose doofs from Brother Bear. Very good, and the only toon worth watching this week.

  • bungholio wrote on February 15, 7:25 pm

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: I always enjoyed the characters on SCTV and "Strange Brew", but they're not as funny as the real Canadians I've known. The boys should really go to live in New Foundland. I met a really hot looking girl from there once. She told me how they would club the baby seals over the head for fun. Oh sure, they look cute in nature films, but they're really loud, smelly, ill-tempered, and brutish animals.....kind of like the robot duck.

  • unoefe wrote on February 15, 7:37 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: Stupid, immature, badly drawn, badly animated, etc., etc., etc. Let's never speak of it again.

  • unoefe wrote on February 15, 7:38 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: I liked it. Animation was a little stiff but the story was funny.

  • unoefe wrote on February 15, 7:43 pm

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Best of show. Something about the animation I really liked. The art was pretty rough looking but the animation was pretty smooth. Kind of a neat combo.

  • bungholio wrote on February 15, 7:55 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: I actually liked it, although it's not as clever as the "Don't Whiz on the Electric Fence" gag from Ren and Stimpy. I still prefer this to the live action, most of the music videos, the over rated animation festival pieces, and tame-as-hell Nick Toons Fest winners. Henderson is willing take risks which is cool. I like his F.T.W. attitude.

  • kenekeu wrote on February 15, 9:31 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: I actually liked the animation style. Perhaps a little too tongue-in-cheek for me to get the humor. Liked the style though.

  • tuomime wrote on February 15, 9:45 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: Bad animation. Bad dialog. Bad story line. Not funny in the least. Channel Frederator - you've sunk to a new low by accepting this.

  • tuomime wrote on February 15, 9:46 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: The whole begining part was just dumb but as soon as it got to the conversation between the man and the bunny at the end it was good and funny. Good music at the end too, by the way. 3'd.

  • tuomime wrote on February 15, 9:48 pm

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Pretty good. Focused on every Canadian stereotype out there.... got a laugh out of me so I can't complain.

  • weasel wrote on February 15, 10:37 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: Wonderful. I loved it. With animation so bad it's good and spectacularly random humor like that, only the soulless can dislike it. That's right, I know what you did at the crossroads. Also, it's free, which makes me like it even more.

  • sk8punk707 wrote on February 15, 10:58 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: absolutely awful. by far the worst toon i have ever seen, not funny, shitty animation, and not funny. i skipped through it. did i mention it wasnt even entertaining? give me poop baseball over this bullshit... however, i feel that frederator may not be getting many cartoons any, if that is the case then frederator has my sympathy from picking this one, but nonetheless, 1'd.

  • sk8punk707 wrote on February 15, 11:00 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: meh, this was stupid and pointless, but the "i don't go for that queer shit" bit made me laugh, but what the hell did that have to do with abbreviations. this was really random, but i chuckled a few times... 3'd.

  • sk8punk707 wrote on February 15, 11:01 pm

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: funny, because canadians are funny, i would watch this show as long as it didn't use the trite "it's okay because we are animated" joke...

  • ode wrote on February 16, 2:05 am

@Lonely Robot Duckling: that sucked. I skipped through it the moment they started urinating. heh, only two comments so far have been positive.

  • xopher wrote on February 16, 2:07 am

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: Well, this one wasn't terrible, but it's still below average. 2.

  • xopher wrote on February 16, 2:18 am

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: These characters have been around for roughly 25 years. (Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas). In case you didn't know. The SCTV skits were pretty good, eh. The movie Strange Brew was beauty all the way. The Great White North Album, however, was their finest output. Go find the Great White North Album. Perhaps with decent plot lines and writing, this show won't be bad, but the trailer here makes me cringe. Cliches: Dumb Fireman with Hot Girlfriend Who Keeps Taking Him Back Instead Of Going For A Nice Guy, Ugly Women Who The Main Characters Have To Dodge, Guy Who Gets Beat Up In Every Episode (You Bastards!)--also, I don't like the jokes explained to me in excruciating detail, such as the Mullet. I could see he had a mullet. I don't need 30 seconds of the mullet explained. I'm not sure that the original Bob & Doug would ever notice or call attention to a mullet. These things worry me. But I'll watch an episode before I give up completely on it. Did not like the trailer. 2.

  • xopher wrote on February 16, 2:20 am

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: I've been saving each episode of Channel Frederator as it comes out since the first week. This might be the first episode I delete.

  • Zac wrote on February 16, 2:41 am

@Lonely Robot Duckling: It had its moments, but honestly, peeing on stuff stopped being funny when I was five.

  • Zac wrote on February 16, 2:47 am

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: I liked the style of the humor, but the pace was pretty bad. It also needed more punchlines. And one final complaint, although I am not terribly uptight, and I know it wasn't meant to be homophobic, I have a hard time finding people who react violently to the phrase "I want a tall man" very funny.

  • Zac wrote on February 16, 2:53 am

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: The was . . . in a syllable, "meh." I neither gained nor lost by watching this. It was better than bad, and worse than good. It was stunningly luke warm. Too bad it was probably the best Episode 17 had to offer.

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Wow. Right now, Bob & Doug are in about 6th place all-time for Channel Frederator, tied with War Photographer. Could it be, perhaps, that it is because it followed pissing robot ducks?

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: is this possibly the worst Frederator episode ever? what has HAPPENED? the first 2 'toons in this episode sucked and this last one... please, please let this never become an actual series.

  • xoph wrote on February 16, 5:05 am

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: After looking over the scope of the series, there is a definite trend of alternating episodes of good/bad. At first, the pendulum didn't swing very far. But around episode 7 is where it started to oscillate wildly. In #7 the average score was 2.92. But they bounced back with a 3.17 in #8 (and one of those toons was sorely underrated by cretins). In #9 the pendulum didn't head back yet--the Xmas spirit sent it all the way to 3.8. Charitable. But #11 is where the pattern starts to set in firmly. The episodes in 2006 score as follows: 3.62--3.02--3.33--3.15--3.53--3.12--2.60! I tend to disagree with half the scores, but it goes to show that you can't count Frederator out. (But 2.6?) C'mon!

  • m3lbatoast wrote on February 16, 9:22 am

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Obviously a trailer, as it did little but demonstrate possible character conflicts and personality types that would lead to wacky hijinx. Has aged favourably since I saw it on the STRANGE BREW DVD, but still sufficiently lacking in content to really judge whether an actual animated series would be good. C'mon Animax: get off the pot and get us some episodes so we can give you a real review!

  • Baine wrote on February 16, 10:50 am

@Lonely Robot Duckling: This is just so ridiculously bad it's almost brilliant.

  • ESPMagus wrote on February 16, 1:20 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: Sure, the story was a bit weak, but MAN did those guys have good aim. I congratulate myself for just getting it in the toilet in the morning! ;p

  • ESPMagus wrote on February 16, 1:26 pm

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: Wasn't a fan of the homophobia stuff, but the announcer did manage to make me laugh. The fact that they went to the trouble to draw him manually winding the clock to give the illusion of time moving faster was genius.

  • Robous wrote on February 16, 1:33 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: It was good in that it was SOOOO BAD: Story, animation, dialogue, all bad. But it was still just BAD in a cringe-worthy type of way. If it were possible, not even a 1. Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.

  • ESPMagus wrote on February 16, 1:35 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: i actually woke up a couple of days ago thinking "why isn't sam hendrson's urinating duck on channel frederator, yet?" and then i found out that CF beat me to that thought.

    GENIUS!!! ENCORE!!!

  • bungholio wrote on February 17, 3:59 am

@Lonely Robot Duckling: It is genius in the way it provokes the audience. It's the kind of humour, that sets in the next day.

  • ArtCurry wrote on February 17, 10:06 am

@Lonely Robot Duckling: I thought it was good in an absurd, silly sort of way.
I would have liked to see some of the people who were peed on be mad at first but then start laughing, like, "Hahaha, ok. You got me!. Ha ha ha."
    That would have been funny.

  • ArtCurry wrote on February 17, 10:16 am

@The Superlative World of Abbreviation: I didn't see it as homophobic. They were making fun of guys who think that way...um, satire anyone?
I do think they could have pushed it further though. And the focus of the material could have been stronger. (ie picking on the annoylingly cute bunny). Was that the point? OR was it the abbreviation gags?
    Still, pretty good effort.

  • ArtCurry wrote on February 17, 10:19 am

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: 4 out of 5 Canucks? The other one must have been American masquerading as Canadian. ;)
I'd like to see more of this one and see where they take it. Given the room to grow, it could be a very funny series.

@Lonely Robot Duckling: Genial! Bravo!

I guess the most encouraging thing is that if I ever become an animator, I don't have to worry about high standard keeping me off of Frederator.

  • lanalou wrote on February 19, 11:33 am

@Lonely Robot Duckling: When did being outrageous replace being clever or funny? What made this a good idea? There was virtually no set up to make this storyline (what little there was) appealing in even a surreal way.

Sure, they wern't Singing Pirates or Metal Vikings, but it was good.

And if you're going to hate, let's see what you have for The Fred.

  • Fistycuffs wrote on February 21, 10:14 pm

@Lonely Robot Duckling: Well, this one was bad, yeah. (Though I liked the "Why was she so mean to us?" part.)

But don't hate too hard unless you have a better toon already on The Fred.

  • Yaztromo wrote on February 22, 2:30 am

@Lonely Robot Duckling: An insult to intelligence everywhere. I'm not against toilet humour, but the key word is "humour". This was about as funny as going out around back to piss up against a dumpster after pounding back a few too many on a Friday night. And the doing it 20 more times. The only "relief" here was when it was finally over.

  • Yaztromo wrote on February 22, 2:42 am

@The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: I loved Bob and Doug back in their SCTV days, so it's good to see them back. The series looks to have promise. The trailer wasn't perfect, but beginnings are always hard. The CRTC would love me -- 5 purely for the "Canadian Content" factor :).

Just because it's not in your face doesn't mean it's not funny. I think it's hilarious and the timing in wonderful. To call it homophobic is just insane. If you want to be that rigid with content, there goes about 85% of comedy.

@Lonely Robot Duckling: After a ten-day cooling off period, I do have to acknowledge this cartoon for being provocative, perhaps in an Andy Kaufmanesque way. But I don't increase my rating. There is a way to have contempt for the audience and still produce quality art. See David Lynch.
